One ticket/interview per person. If space/time permits, on the day of the event, you can inquire with an SJSU representative if you can interview with an additional employer. If you register for more than one interview, your registration will be deleted.

You MUST register online to be guaranteed an interview! Once registered, you must attend, if not, please email the Career Center to cancel your appointment.

Note: All candidates will be pre-screened. If you do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements, you will not be interviewed. Interviews will be 15 minutes in length.

Please register for an interview by reserving yourself a ticket. Bring your resume to the interview, dress professionally, and arrive early to allow time enough for parking. Parking is $2/hr or $8 for all day.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Hosts

  • 6 months experience in a full-service restaurant preferred (not required)

  • Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive

  • Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills

  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to stand/walk and stay focused and alert for extended periods of time

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a team

  • Ability to effectively communicated on the telephone

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

Servers
  • One year experience in a full-service restaurant preferred (not required)

  • Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive

  • Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills

  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic math skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a team

  • Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed

  • Continuous use of hands and arms

  • Continuous bending, reaching and twisting


Line Cooks/Dishwashers/Production

  • One year experience as a Line Cook preferred (not required)

  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work effectively within a team

  • Must be able to work quickly in a confined area and stand for extended periods of time

  • Basic English reading and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed

  • Ability to work in elevated temperatures

  • Continuous use of hands and arms

  • Continuous bending, reaching and twisting

  • Must be able to work off campus (All)

  • Must be able to work in US(All)
